An immersive trail through London bringing to life contemporary art in partnership with National Gallery X. Comedian Harry Hill provided a humorous sculpted tour guide that was truly out of this world.
The Experience
As part of a partnership between Art of London, National Gallery X and Premier, up-and-coming artists were asked to come up with ideas to turn the heart of London into their canvas. Guest judge, comedian and artist Harry Hill contributed his own hand-sculpted aliens as part of the ‘Brighter Future’ experience. The goal was to transform London’s West End and to excite the public and drive footfall.
The Solution
Darabase created an interactive map which shows the location of each artwork. Once a user has arrived at the location, Harry Hill’s aliens were brought to life in augmented reality as curators with audio from Harry Hill himself. Darabase also built an AR gamified interactive experience to augment Sam William’s artwork ‘Catch Me If You Can’ in Leicester Square Gardens.
