Sing 2

An all singing, all dancing, animal explosion to delight the senses and have everyone humming along with recognisable songs. Utilising audiosynch technology, an AR OOH experience with multi-sensory impact.

The Experience

When the animated hit, Sing 2 was launched in UK cinemas the film trailer was shown on Piccadilly Lights screen for a week. Universal Pictures and Ocean Outdoor wanted users to be able to hear the music from the trailer on their own devices.

The Solution

The Augmented Reality experience was accessed when visitors to Piccadilly Circus scanned a QR code on the big screen which took them to the WebAR built by Darabase.

Darabase’s unique Audio Sync technology uses AR computer vision on a user’s mobile phone to synchronise the large screen video with the audio streaming on the viewer’s personal device or headphones.

Viewers could also choose to view the full trailer in AR using Darabase’s  Video Mega Screen product and then click on a link to buy tickets.
