Sing 2 – AR Audio Sync and Trailer Case Study

The Brief

To promote the launch of Sing 2, Universal Pictures screened the film trailer on Piccadilly Lights for the week of the UK cinemas release, booked through Ocean Outdoor.  They wanted to enhance the experience so that visitors could engage digitally with the creative on their mobile as well as see the campaign on the big screen.

The Solution

Darabase created an Augmented Reality experience which is accessed when visitors to Piccadilly Circus scan a QR code on the big screen, triggering Darabase’s patent pending Audio Sync technology to play audio for the trailer on their own device.

Viewers can also choose to view the full trailer in AR using the Darabase Video Mega Screen product and then click on a link to buy tickets.
