ARTFRESCO, an AR Art Activation from International Towers and Darabase

Darabase has partnered with International Towers to launch ARTFRESCO, an outdoor Augmented Reality art experience which can be found around the International Towers in Barangaroo, Sydney, Australia.

As Sydney emerges from more than 100 days of lockdown, the ARTFRESCO experience gives tenants and visitors of Australia’s most progressive workspace a chance to experience the art of world-renowned artists as they return to the city.

The ARTFRESCO experience contains an interactive digital map to help users locate the art around International Towers and information about the artists involved. The artwork is brought to life as large-scale augmented reality activations of the original pieces from artists Alex Seton and Robert Fielding. ARTFRESCO has been curated by Sydney-based artist and immersive innovator Charles Clapshaw.

The experience was conceived and produced by Darabase, the leading AR Outdoor Media Company who have recently opened a subsidiary Darabase Australia Pty Ltd, to meet demand in the wider Pacific market.

Liam Timms, Fund Manager International Towers Sydney, Lendlease said,
“Bringing the ARTFRESCO concept to International Towers has been a delight. We are excited to see these world famous artworks in such a new way and very pleased to share them with the International Towers community. We hope to grow the concept and bring further works of art to ARTFRESCO and the community over time.”

Dominic Collins, CEO of Darabase added,
“ARTFRESCO has been an exciting project to work on and shows how large scale property owners can enhance the sense of place around their assets to build community and visits to their locations. It has been a pleasure to work with the artists involved and an excellent springboard for launching Darabase Australia to meet the needs of our customers in the Asia Pacific region.”
